CD Release: Electro-acoustic composer Roger Doyle

Untitled Document Rapid Eye Movements
Cat. No.: SIDO 013 CD
Label: Silverdoor

Electro-acoustic music composer Roger Doyle, Ireland's first in this genre, attempted a 'masterpiece before the age of thirty' in his composition Rapid Eye Movements in the late 70s.
Upon its release in 1981, the UK Sounds magazine said:
'without doubt one of the most exhilerating LPs and unorthodox concepts ever submitted to vinyl'.

Now remastered and repackaged on CD with 3 extra tracks from the period, this work has just become available again.

Thalia/Oizzo No
Cat. No.: SIDO 012 CD
Label: Silverdoor

The music on this CD represents the early works of Irish composer Roger Doyle - pieces composed in the late 1960s to mid 70s, re-packaged and re-mastered in 2002.
It includes his extremely rare self-released 1975 debut LP OIZZO NO and his second LP THALIA from 1978, originally released on CBS Classics, all on the one 77 minute CD.
The earliest piece is Bitter-Sweet Suite for out-of-tune piano composed when he was 18, and the latest Thalia, his first large-scale electronic piece, composed at the age of 26.

These CDs are of great musical and historical interest. If you are interested in buying either or both of them, please send a cheque (or cash), including your address to:
Silverdoor, Rynville Mews, Killarney Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow. Ireland.
These CDs cost only 15 euros each, which includes post and packaging.
