Conference 2004 Sound:Image:Space - Applying Music Technology on Friday 29th
October- Saturday 30th October.
Keynote speakers: David Sonnenschein, author of 'Sound Design: The Expressive
Power of Music, Voice and Sound Effects in Cinema' and
Willem- Jan Renger, Dean of the Graduate School and leader of the MA in European
Media at the Utrecht School of the Arts.
Papers: film, composition, recording and production, curriculum issues and virtual,
gendered and performance spaces.
Film screenings and installations.
Concerts by Scanner and the dB ensemble.
PALATINE panel on Music Technology Education.
Delegate fees: £50 full rate, £30 reduced rate (applies to self-financing
delegates who are in full-time education, unemployed or

This conference is supported by the British Academy, the Academy of Sound Leeds
