Subject: Leeds Music Technology Education Conference 2004

Registration is now open for the Leeds Music Technology Education
Conference 2004 Sound:Image:Space - Applying Music Technology on Friday 29th October- Saturday 30th October.


Keynote speakers: David Sonnenschein, author of 'Sound Design: The Expressive Power of Music, Voice and Sound Effects in Cinema' and
Willem- Jan Renger, Dean of the Graduate School and leader of the MA in European Media at the Utrecht School of the Arts.

Papers: film, composition, recording and production, curriculum issues and virtual, gendered and performance spaces.
Film screenings and installations.
Concerts by Scanner and the dB ensemble.
PALATINE panel on Music Technology Education.

Delegate fees: £50 full rate, £30 reduced rate (applies to self-financing delegates who are in full-time education, unemployed or
senior citizens). For registration and further details please contact Louise Wood, Events Manager, Leeds College of Music l.wood@lcm.ac.uk
This conference is supported by the British Academy, the Academy of Sound Leeds and the Digital Music Research Network. Funding is available towards the travel costs of up to 10 young researchers wishing to attend the event.
