Phases is a celebration of the 70th birthday of composer Steve Reich, featuring music, dance, film, free events, and art. The Music Marathon Day on 7 October includes two concerts - Remixing Reich featuring Coldcut, DJ Spooky and Konono No. 1 alongside the Kronos Quartet and Synergy Vocals, and Diversions with the BBC Symphony Orchestra playing Reich's music alongside that of one of his greatest influences, Bartok.
